Why Russian?


Many people fail to see the importance in learning Russian and for the most part it is one of those languages that get tossed aside for more trendy languages like French and Italian. But did you know that in fact one of the six official and working languages of the UN (United Nations) and is the key means of international communication between nations of the Russian Federation and the CIS (Community of Independent States - former Soviet Republics). This means the language itself is a vital cog in the wheel of global communications.

Russian is not much harder than any other foreign language. There is a different alphabet, BUT it is very easy to learn. Once you learn the alphabet (that takes about a week), you will see that spelling in Russian is about five times easier than spelling in English! Almost everything is spelled as it sounds! You don't need special abilities in order to learn Russian. People of average language abilities learn Russian all the time. You can too.

So you may well ask "Why learn Russian?" There are several reasons to learn to speak Russian and learn Russian language reading and writing skills. Some of these reasons include:
