Holidays are coming, so be prepared to greet your
Russian friends and family in Russian! Here are some holiday greetings
and wishes:
С новым годом! [SNOvim Godahm] - Happy New Year (literary that means "With New Year") Желаю счастья и здоровья! [zheeLAHyoo SHCHAstya ee zdaROHVya] - I wish you happiness and health
In Russia New Year holidays officially last for 10 days. The most
important is New Year which is celebrated at midnight on the 31st of
December. Then Christmas on the 7th of January, followed by Old
New Year (unofficially celebrated at midnight on the 13th of January).
I'm going for holiday as well from 29 Dec till 10 Jan.
